Hello Final 5!!!
We're one step closer to find out the America's Next Top Model for this cycle.
Let's see the photos for this week.
BoA - Healthcare (Mental - Depression)
Emma: I can tell this is an issue that means a lot to you. It means a lot to me as well, having been diagnosed myself. For people suffering with depression and/or anxiety you literally feel like that, and that feeling like there's no where to turn. I know we lucky in Australia to have access to counsellors and psychiatrists through Medicare, and I know that this is somewhere that Canada and the US are lacking. Mental health seems to be one of the many issues that are swept under the rug. I'll stop myself before I go off on a tangent about this, so I think this picture accurately portrays the feeling of helplessness to those affected by a mental illness.
Shraddha: First, congrats on staying. Second, you proved why you should stay. I love this. I can see this photo easily being used for the Mental Healthcare campaign. I love it. Your body language is perfect. You still look beautiful. Brilliant concept. Great job, B
Jensen: Short and sweet as I am burnt to a crisp and in pain
gorgeous
Jennifer - Animal Rights
Emma: Three of the five of you took on fauna related issues this photoshoot, and of the three, yours, I'm sorry to say, is by far the weakest, and you'll see why when you see the other two. It's simply too safe, and leaves no impact, no shock-factor, no comedy-factor. It's a cute picture, but just not enough to stand up to the rest of the competition at this stage. By the time you submitted, there were already two posts about animal abuse, so that should have deterred you in order to try to stand out from them and make yourself more memorable. Thinking outside the box is really what's needed, and I'm surprised, because 4am is usually a good time for that.
Shraddha: I think it's a very cute photo. More commercial to me. I think I want to see more interaction from you and the animal so we can see how much that you love the animals. Cause you're supposed to fight for them. Overall, it's good.
Jensen: Picture is gorgeous but haven't seen the rest. Would love to see Emma's though
Laura - Animal Abuse
Emma: Oh Peta... My dislike of Peta aside, I think this is okay. It's not the best, but certainly not the worst. While it's memorable, it's only really because you're nude. You did a great job of keeping face while holding your breath though.
I also want to distinguish that it's SeaWorld (one word) that allegedly does this, and not Sea World (Two words), which is different, unrelated theme park located in Australia.
Shraddha: Wow.. This is gorgeous. And it delivered the message perfectly. I love this. The moment I saw this I was like what.. Your expression is gorgeous. And the pose is effortlessly terrifying. I can feel that. I can feel the animals' pain from this photo. And gosh.. I'm in tears now.. Great job, Laura
Jensen: I hate PETA but love this
Nicki - Homeland Security
Emma: "She's like a female phenomenon. She's a glamazon" This is giving me flashback's to RuPaul's Glamazon music video. The reason why I like this is because it's so campy, and that makes it stand out in black comedy from the serious undertones of this photoshoot. The only thing missing is the campy, non-constipated, Minaj-esque expression to boot.
Shraddha: Great interpretation. I like this. The concept is really good. It made me think. That's what I like the most. I'm not too fond with you expression. Be careful with it. But overall, great job, Nicki
Jensen: Im not loving the expression
Paloma - Animal Abuse
Emma: Holy clusterfuck of eyecatchery, Paloma. I think that adequately explains this picture. It's eyecatching at core, but I think it lacks the fundamental message of "Save this particular parrot!" I'm not particularly seeing what you're seeing. Also, I believe the theme you're looking for is "Wildlife conservation".
Shraddha: I like this. I'm not sure how I'm going to pick the Best Photo this week. Great explanation but I agree with Emma. Wildlife Conservation sounds more perfect with this photo. But I just love this. Unlike Emma, I can see the message. It screams 'freedom' to me. And that's enough. Every animals deserve to be free.
Jensen: Great job
