Photoshoot #10 - Political Issues
BoA ~ Healthcare "...Depression is a real mental issue that affects the brain, and it's not just someone "being sad". Mental health in general is usually a neglected part of healthcare..." Jennifer ~ Animal Rights/Abuse "Dogs are meant to be loved and cherished not mistreated." Laura ~ Animal Rights/Abuse "...The animals at SeaWorld that are confined to tanks (that are) far too small. They are taken from their pods and made to perform." Nicki ~ Homeland Security "I see this photo as displaying the importance of homeland security, through showing how destructive terrorism can be... And it's a unique perspective because the model is the one doing the destroying." Paloma ~ Animal Rights/Conservation "This photo represents the freedom that is owed to tropical birds. Paloma is showcasing her heart ache for the birds which is shadowing her protest, with the birds flying freely in her support."

I really like Nicki It has a little more of an editorial feel L'Oreal is not as commercial as cover girl is still has a fashion vibe to it there is a slight tension I do not like but it is a photo I quite like in the bunch. Nicki is extremely theatrical so it was cool to see her in a way srtip it back. I was unsure if she could model when this started I thought she should act so muck she might not look modelesque.
Paloma's I also quite like she has something evident in her eyes i dont like the arm towards camera but im nitpicking. when this started I doubted the Paloma would go far. I loved the look of her but thought that she would be one dimensional and get stuck being pin up all the time.
Boa sells the lip stick well but perhaps its too commercial. after looking at examples it seems it is lacking that little bit of edge the brand seems to like. Boa has brought the diversity and perhaps some of the strongest photos in the competition.

I love the whole "too commercial" concept when it's never mentioned once in the photoshoot instructions to be more high fashion lol. Just hope that's not a deciding factor because I wasn't able to look past the instructions and read the mind of what the judges ACTUALLY wanted haha.
